Assistant Project Manager – Kilbourne Construction Management

Summary
The assistant project manager works with the greater construction team and Project Managers to oversee the daily management, coordination, supervision, and successful completion of projects. Time will be spent in the field along with the project superintendent learning to effectively manage all aspects of a build site. The KCM assistant project manager is a motivated self-starter with a commitment to continuous learning and the ability to take on distinct roles depending on the project at hand.
The Assistant Project Manager will develop skills, knowledge, and experience to successfully train and develop into a Construction Project Manager; with the ability to oversee and manage construction projects from conception to completion, ensuring a highly efficient project is completed on time and within budget.
Responsibilities
Responsibilities vary depending on the scope and magnitude of the project but will typically include the following:
- Participate as an active teammate on a primary assigned construction project
- Prepare, issue, receive and review subcontractor proposals/pricing
- Track design changes, generate and organize RFIs
- Manage submittals, document control, change management and quality control
- Oversee small-scale projects and tenant improvements
- Assist in the estimating and preconstruction efforts of the company
- Other duties as assigned
Requirements
Education/Experience:
- One-to-three years of construction related experience
- Bachelor of Science in Construction Management or Engineering preferred, or equivalent employment experience

Environment: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to frequently inspect the projects and may be exposed to ongoing construction and various weather conditions. The noise level in the work environment may range from moderate to loud. This position may be exposed to outdoor weather conditions.
