110 Broadway Storefront Renovation

The image above is a sketch of the Blacks store at 110 Broadway, opened by George M. Black, which opened in 1961. Blacks store was no longer listed in city directories in 1981. Starting June 12, 2018, a 10-day renovation project commenced of the storefront at 110 Broadway. The images below show the progression of the storefront renovation.

The renovation included the replacement of six vertical sections of precast concrete panels.

Removal of concrete veneer begins.

 

Natural light floods the space. The addition of skylights to the rooftop brighten the future of this office space, while highlighting the character of the historic masonry which separates this space from the second level of the Black Building.

Framing begins for the window installation.

Brand new views are introduced over Broadway.

Head to Broadway to rediscover the look of the building. Be sure to stop in to shop at Scan Design on the first level!
