Black Building Hosts Downtown Fargo Shopping Event

Black Building Hosts Downtown Fargo Shopping Event

Kilbourne Group and the tenants of the Black Building will host The Bazaar at the Black Building, a uniquely Fargo shopping experience, from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Thursday, December 14.

Retailers in the Black Building will be open, along with local artisans and entrepreneurs with pop-up retail shops. Learn more at The Bazaar at the Black Building on Facebook.

“Shopping in downtown Fargo, especially around the holidays, is a unique and enchanting experience,” said Kilbourne Group spokesperson Adrienne Olson. “The picturesque magic of holiday lights along Broadway and the vintage practice of creating dazzling window displays are just a couple ways our downtown merchants strive to make your visit special. The Black Building is part of a long retail tradition in downtown Fargo, which today numbers over 75 eclectic, local shops.”

December 14 is a big night in downtown Fargo, with the Drekker Late Night Holiday Craft Market, the APT Holiday Art Market, Book Signing & Selfies with Santa at Zandbroz, Aquarium Holiday FOOD DRIVE, and the Prairie Roots Food Co-op Sample Spectacular all happening the same night. In addition, the Downtown Community Partnership is hosting the Downtown Spectacular, which includes free downtown trolley rides that stop at many of these events.

The historic Black Building, built in 1931 at 118 Broadway, is an iconic art deco eight-story tower in downtown Fargo that is currently undergoing its largest renovation in its history. The renovation is thoughtfully guided by the structure’s place on the National Register of Historic Places. The Black Building is emerging as a stately symbol of Downtown Fargo’s ongoing renaissance. State of the art infrastructure upgrades, along with respectful renewal of unique historic designs and materials, will restore the Black Building to its rightful place in Fargo’s history as a destination unto itself.
