Position Overview

We are seeking a talented and experienced Multifamily Director to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing our residential portfolio. The Multifamily Director will lead and grow the residential property management team. Kilbourne Group has a robust and capable commercial property management team that oversees the expenses and property management for the common areas of the mixed-use buildings.

Responsibilities

1. Strategic Management: Manage all residential assets, the leasing team, Yardi functions, and residential customer relations.

2. Financial Analysis: Lead the annual budgets for the residential units and communicate the monthly results to the team. Create revenue and expense strategies with short-term and long-term goals for multifamily assets.

3. Leadership: Lead and manage residential leasing and property management team, including continued sales training of the properties.

4. Tenant Relations: Manage tenant relations and policies to maintain high occupancy rates and tenant satisfaction.

5. Team Collaboration: Effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams, including marketing, asset management, finance, accounting, and commercial property management, to support and achieve strategic objectives.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in residential management.
  • Strong financial acumen and analytical skills, with proficiency in budgeting and expense management.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively interact with tenants, and team members.
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple projects, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and real estate asset management software (Yardi).
