Hunting for Historic Black Building Photos

The Black Building has been an icon of the downtown Fargo skyline for 85 years. That’s 85 years worth of experiences and memories in one Fargo landmark.

Kilbourne Group is honored to be assuming stewardship of the Black Building in late January 2016. As we look to write the next chapter of its history, we are compelled to understand and respect its past.

We need your help. Do you have historic photos you’d share with us? We are especially interested in interior images of the atrium and mall area before the Elm Tree Square renovation. You retain the rights to your images. Kilbourne Group uses them to stitch together the storied past of downtown Fargo to inspire the future through gratitude for the past.

While you’re at it, we’d love to see all your images of historic downtown Fargo. You, too, are a steward of our history and can impact our future.
