Two NP Avenue Properties Added to Kilbourne Group Portfolio

Kilbourne Group believes vibrant downtowns create smart, healthy cities. We are excited to announce the purchase of two downtown Fargo sites along NP Avenue, the current homes of Mathison’s Printing (1213 NP) and The Nestor (1001 NP).

Kilbourne Group sees NP Avenue growing in importance as a front door to downtown Fargo. Other significant projects in this area being undertaken by Kilbourne Group and other developers include the historic renovation of Woodrow Wilson and Union Storage. These projects, along with the City of Fargo’s addition of a protected bike lane along NP, will increase the walkability, bike-ability, and vibrancy of this downtown neighborhood.

Mathison’s Printing, which has been headquartered in downtown Fargo since the early 1970s, is moving to a new home at 3911 37^th Avenue South. The new single level, open floor plan space is better suited to the company which has evolved from retail sales benefitted from foot traffic to a core business in industrial print production capabilities.

“We think the world of Kilbourne Group and the awesome things they are doing downtown,” says Joseph Anstett, president of Mathison’s. “We love downtown and feel that through this sale we can re-gift the building back to downtown Fargo under Kilbourne Group’s stewardship.”

Owners of The Nestor Tavern chose not to purchase the land and building when the previous owner announced intentions to sell. They have entered into a lease agreement with the Kilbourne Group and will continue to operate the business. The Nestor Tavern is a unique part of Fargo’s rich live music scene and features musicians playing their own original music.
