With our eyes to the coming year, we bid farewell to 2024, another memorable year in downtown Fargo. This flourishing neighborhood has truly come into its own, with brand-new businesses, more residents than ever, and a year-round lineup of one-of-a-kind events all coming together to create a community experience that can’t be found anywhere else.
This fall, Kilbourne Group opened RiverHouse, an unparalleled apartment community tailored to bring together the best of urban living and enjoyment of the outdoors. With 115 apartments along the Red River on the eastern edge of downtown Fargo, RiverHouse brings together the best of both worlds. We also broke ground on The Avery, a mixed-use project featuring 168 apartments, a publicly owned parking garage, and an expansive new home for the Fargo-Moorhead Community Theatre. Set to open Spring 2026, this infill project will transform downtown Fargo’s art and design district along NP Avenue. The Avery will also include an outdoor space neighboring NDSU’s Renaissance Hall, paving the way for outdoor theatrical performances and more unique experiences made possible by the most creative neighborhood in the Fargo-Moorhead metro.
The coming year also marks a quarter century of change in downtown Fargo. From 2000 to 2025, this central business district has undergone a renaissance, once again becoming the focal point for the community. This metamorphosis has only been possible through collaboration, public-private partnerships, and most importantly all the residents, employees, entrepreneurs, and beyond who make downtown Fargo more than just a place to be. We are honored to have been a part of that change and extend unending gratitude to all the community partners who brought their vision to this vibrant city center.
Wishing you health, joy, and prosperity in 2025!
With gratitude,
Kilbourne Group
