With our eyes to the coming year, we bid farewell to 2024, another memorable year in downtown Fargo. This flourishing neighborhood has truly come into its own, with brand-new businesses, more residents than ever, and a year-round lineup of one-of-a-kind events all coming together to create a community experience that can’t be found anywhere else.
The holidays are upon us, and we’re excited to share our annual gift guide with you! Every year, we highlight some of our favorite downtown retailers, but this time, we’re doing something a little different.
FARGO — Luxury condominiums are being planned for the top three floors of downtown Fargo’s iconic Black Building.
It’s already been a week since Kilbourne Group, Fargo Moorhead Community Theatre (FMCT), and The City of Fargo came together to celebrate the groundbreaking of a new mixed-use project between Old Broadway and Renaissance Hall, and we’re still blown away by the incredible support from the community.
With its strong start-up ecosystem and expansive network of innovators, downtown Fargo is the cornerstone of the metro area’s entrepreneurship. A hefty 99% of North Dakota businesses are small businesses, a reality that is directly reflected in Fargo’s central business district.

Fargo boasts a diverse and delicious culinary scene, with many options concentrated downtown. From handcrafted dining experiences like Rosewild and Mezzaluna to cozy cafes like Moonrise Café and Young Blood Coffee, there is something for everyone.

With 2023 in the rearview mirror, we can’t help but reflect on all the growth we experienced as a team as well as the incredible ways the downtown Fargo community evolved throughout the year. From new businesses to construction milestones to community involvement, it was an incredible year.
We’ve officially seen the first flurries of snow, the skating rink is being installed at Broadway Square, and the holiday lights are adorning trees up and down Broadway, which means it’s time to start thinking about your holiday shopping list.
