Construction on Roberts Commons (RoCo) began in 2016, followed by the development of Dillard Apartments. Once a mix of publicly and privately owned surface parking lots, this area has been completely reimagined into a dynamic, mixed-use urban infill project.
Stretching across 2nd Avenue North, Roberts Street, and Roberts Alley, the project has helped expand Fargo’s walkable downtown core. RoCo features six stories with 72 eco-conscious apartments and 13,000 square feet of ground-level retail, while Dillard adds seven stories, 84 apartments, and over 17,000 square feet of commercial space. The two buildings are seamlessly connected by an enclosed parking garage with space for 455 vehicles, 50 bicycles, and solar-powered EV charging stations — redefining what it means to live, work, and connect in downtown Fargo.
